Why attend an MASFPS Event?
“I would recommend the MASFPS Title I Principal’s Series because it will guide you in your needs for Title I. I started last year as Title I Director. I did not know all the parts and pieces that play a major role in the requirements for Title I. This training opened my eyes to exactly what I am required to do. I understand the importance of collaboration and data. ”
“MASFPS Directors’ Workshop Series is a must for those managing state and federal funds. The sessions are timely, spot-on, and extremely useful. This is a very good use of my limited time, as Sara and Buzz (the leaders) have walked the walk. They are the perfect guide to help support me through the complex layers of state and federal programs. Thank you for providing this helpful series. Feel free to use. ”
“The Directors’ Series is incredibly valuable for new and returning program directors. It is a safe place to ask questions, and the sessions are aligned nicely to when certain actions should take place. I learn something new each year! ”
“I attended the MASFPS New Directors’ Workshop Series last year as a new Assistant Superintendent and found it extremely helpful. The sessions assisted me in learning the information and skills I needed to do my job. I registered again this year because there was no better way for me to get the most up-to-date information, or to network with others with the same responsibilities. I will be back every year. ”
“The workshop connected all things continuous improvement - MICIP, Title, state programs, other federal programs, MTSS. As a district leader, the workshop was a tremendous support to learn about the requirements and seek assistance and resources to effectively improve our work. Thank you!
”
“I appreciated the format for the delivery of information. Being able to Zoom live, or watch the recorded version was great. Being that it was Zoom, it allowed for me and another district principal to work together and still be in district. We were able to Zoom live for two of the meetings and then watch the recorded version twice when we had conflicting meetings. The materials provided, and stored in the drive, were very helpful.”
“These are a life savior to help keep track of the millions of things we have to do in these roles. Would love to hear more about what other districts are doing with their funding to help build a library of ideas.”
“I can’t imagine doing this job without the side-by-side help of MASFPS. You provide timely, effective professional learning that is critical given the complex demands of State and Federal Programs. You are current on the rules, practical on the tips, and helpful with the work. This is not a one-and-done series... every director could learn from this every year. The networking and idea generation are remarkable and truly help build effective SFP managers! Thank you!”
“The MASFPS DWS is extremely helpful with giving us tools and strategies for effectively leading our district level state and federal programs. The organization tools Sara shares are extremely helpful in helping us set up systems and processes for our teams. Thank you! As a five year “veteran” of state and federal programs, I learn something new at every meeting I attend.”
“Even as a 30 Year School Finance Administrator, I STILL find these trainings incredibly helpful. The information provided and discussed is both useful in completing my daily, monthly/yearly tasks but also needed for future planning. Great Job!”
“I would highly recommend this workshop series to both program directors/managers and finance professionals, as even if you attend every year, one is absolutely certain that every year the newest information is presented, there are new, better resources shared with generosity by the MASFPS staff, you can get answers to questions you might not even be aware you have, so, ABSOLUTELY, enroll, attend, learn and network with colleagues through the Section 31a series of workshops organized by MASFPS! ”
