Why attend The MASFPS Directors’ Workshop Series?
“I would recommend the MASFPS Title I Principal’s Series because it will guide you in your needs for Title I. I started last year as Title I Director. I did not know all the parts and pieces that play a major role in the requirements for Title I. This training opened my eyes to exactly what I am required to do. I understand the importance of collaboration and data. ”
“MASFPS Directors’ Workshop Series is a must for those managing state and federal funds. The sessions are timely, spot-on, and extremely useful. This is a very good use of my limited time, as Sara and Buzz (the leaders) have walked the walk. They are the perfect guide to help support me through the complex layers of state and federal programs. Thank you for providing this helpful series. Feel free to use. ”
“It is refreshing to have reminders or new information and to bounce ideas/thoughts of my colleagues. Even though I have been in this role for years, I am learning new items or refreshingly reminded of information to bring to my forefront.”
“I often use the library of pre-made tools and templates available to us. By utilizing these resources, I’ve been able to reclaim countless hours that would have otherwise been spent building systems from scratch. The MASFPS team has been a great resource!

Vicki Mikusko- Bullock Creek School District”
Why attend The MASFPS Title I Principals’ Workshop Series?
“The templates and examples were essential for shaping our plan and meeting every component. However, the true value of this series is how it helps us bridge those plans to MICIP, ensuring our teachers, students, and families are authentically engaged in the process of academic success!- ”
“Sara, Kristi and veteran Title I principal’s input & support has been an incredible resource for supporting and implementing best practices. While it felt like drinking from a fire hose, I feel more confident in ensuring that my building / district are in better compliance overall.”
Why attend The MASFPS Section 31a Workshop Series?
“I honestly can’t say enough about the 31a workshop series. Even as a veteran in the field, I learn something new every year I attend. I highly recommend it to any professional who wants to stay current, gain access to valuable resources that are generously shared, and remain truly connected to the work and to others in the field. ”
“This workshop series is a lifesaver for navigating the complexities of Section 31a funding. It does a fantastic job of breaking down complicated state laws into practical, day-to-day strategies that actually make sense for our schools. I got so much value out of it this year that I’m already planning on taking it again next year! Marc Whitlock, Academic Services Coordinator for Success Virtual Learning Centers of Michigan”
Why attend The MASFPS Grants 101 Finance Workshop Series?
“The presenters were great in walking us through real examples of what other schools do and through actual grant applications and final reports, which is so helpful. I also really appreciate the information of what we need to be prepared to start the year, to do the end of year reports, and to be prepared for audits. Overall, it was a great experience, and I came away with new ideas and a better understanding of school finance and I think it would be beneficial to attend this workshop series every year. ”
Why attend The MASFPS Parent and Family Engagement Workshop Series?
“This workshop helps participants turn compliance requirements into meaningful actions that will lead to an increase in family engagement. Effective tools and resources were shared and discussed. Additionally, was was incredibly valuable to see how the MTSS Framework and Title 1 components overlap. -Becky Lokey, Brandywine Community Schools”
“Great opportunity to have actual parents’ voices heard. Our parent truly felt part of the team during the worktime. ”
